“I don't show my teeth when I smile, no matter how much I try. I want to be able to smile confidently at work and when I am with other people.”

After a complete examination that included checking her teeth, gums, and TMJ, Dr. Mohr performed a smile analysis to measure her facial features to see how they related to her teeth. As part of this process, he also created diagnostic models to simulate her bite pattern and took digital photos to view her smile both close-up and at normal conversation distance.

This thorough consultation accomplishes many things in a single appointment. Firstly, it allows the patient to voice their concerns and clearly express their goals to Dr. Mohr with the help of high-quality images. The extensive exam and photography enable Dr. Mohr to fully understand the current condition of a patient’s teeth and what makes them unique. Then, software allows Dr. Mohr and the patient to work together to design their ideal smile, leading to the creation of a mock-up of what her new smile will look like after undergoing treatment.

This resulted in the patient leaving the visit feeling excited about the road ahead rather than nervous. She knew she had been understood and what to expect.

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words-- the patient was thrilled with her outcome and now has no issue showing her teeth.
