No matter how damaged your teeth may be, no one wants a cookie-cutter perfect smile -- and that is something Dr. Allan S. Mohr knows well. Each Smile of the Month feature that we choose has achieved a smile that is uniquely theirs. Haley, our April selection, knows first-hand what a difference that can make.
Haley’s Own Definition of Perfection
Haley didn’t want to completely change her smile. She was dissatisfied with just 6 pearly whites in particular -- but she liked the fact that her “eye” teeth (the ones that surround the first 4) were pointy. However, unlike many patients, Haley didn’t know quite what she needed to achieve her unique request. Dr. Mohr guided her to dental veneers.
While it was a look that many dental perfectionists may not have agreed with, keeping those pointy teeth was something Haley felt strongly about -- she was used to seeing her smile that way and didn’t want to change it. And so that is just what Dr. Mohr did for her.
As with all his smile makeover patients, Dr. Mohr used digital dentistry to first create a mock-up to show Haley what her results would look like. After she accepted the plan, he created the temporaries -- these are the blueprint for the final. From there, his partner lab completed the veneers that cover Haley’s teeth today. In reviewing photos of the digital mock-up, the temporaries, and the final veneers, you can see they are practically clones of each other.
